Request MSMC Zoom Account

  • You only need an account if you are Hosting a meeting.  You do not need an account to Join a meeting

  • Faculty and Staff -  Request an MSMC Zoom account from it.support@msmc.edu

  • Staff who need "Polling" feature or a meeting duration longer than 40 minutes for 3 or more people, can request a temporary licensed account.

  • Faculty teaching in the current semester receive an licensed account for the semester.

  • You will receive an email to activate your MSMC Zoom account. 

  • Activate using your MSMC Email.  (Do not choose "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Facebook")

 

Check your Account type

  • Log into zoom.us or open the Zoom App. 

 

  • Hover over person icon in the top right corner. 

 

  • It will indicate "Basic" or "Licensed"

 

The Licensed account allows for a Zoom session longer than 40 minutes when you have more than two participants.

The Basic account allows for a Zoom session longer than 40 minutes with up to two participants. 

 

Join A Meeting

  • For a course, most faculty will have the "join" link posted in eClass

 

  • For meetings, click on the link in an email or calendar invitation that was sent to you.
